About The Ten CC:

The Ten Commandments Commission was formed in the spring of 2005 following the court rulings against the Ten Commandments , along with a host of other disturbing trends that are witnessed daily throughout our culture. These events, as disturbing now as they were then, clearly demonstrate that our nation is moving away from moral absolutes. The actions of some have threatened the very fabric and foundation of our culture and faith. The Ten Commandments, and all other references to God, which have served as the moral foundation and anchor of our great country, are systematically being removed from public places.

Public displays of the Ten Commandments and other symbols of our faith have been a powerful visual testimony to the fact that the United States of America is "one nation under God." Their removal from public places show that those with a secular humanist agenda are intent on destroying the moral heritage of our nation while also attempting to make sure future generations do not recognize the major influence the Ten Commandments have had in shaping our laws and freedoms.

With secular humanists waging their attacks at home, and the looming threat from the international radical Islam - people of faith become the line of defense - this is the "Wall of Jerusalem", and we are the watchman God has placed there. Therefore, those who care about moral values cannot passively sit by and watch the removal of the very principles that made this country great. The Ten Commandments and what they represent are the heart of all moral code and must be defended before they are removed from society altogether.

We are a grass root movement led by some of the nation's largest ministries and men of God. The First Annual Ten Commandments Day was celebrated on Sunday May 7th. Thousands of churches and synagogues used the day to celebrate the Ten Commandments as pastors and rabbis spoke about their importance in society. One of the main planned events of the Ten Commandments Day was a national telecast hosted by Jay Sekulow and Ruth Schofield from Washington DC . The highlight of the program was the signing ceremony and the display of the Ten Commandments Day Proclamation. Among the signing leaders were Pat Robertson, Richard Roberts, John Hagee, George Morrison, Myles Munroe, Bishop Eddie Long, Mark Chironna, Jerry Rose, Bob D'Andrea, Garth Coonce, Ron Hembree and many other spiritual leaders and national religious broadcasters. This year the Ten Commandments Day will be celebrated on May 2nd and we hope to be in every community around the nation.

Our philosophy:

No civilized society or government can exist successfully without the recognition, acceptance, adherence and submission to Moral law and the standard for value judgment. Therefore, the principle of Freedom demands the protection of God's moral law.

The Challenge:

As committed people of faith, we have an obligation to stand up together for God. His law is not only a profile of His character, but also a moral mirror to show humans where we have fallen short in both honoring the Creator, and in respecting our fellow man. Therefore, as we witness the degradation of society, we must come together in a spirit of unity, harmony, and reconciliation to bring the Word of God back to the forefront of our national conscience.

The Ten Commandments Commission (TCC) is the response to this challenge and endeavors:

1. To provide a unified expression of our national commitment to divine prerogative.

2. To restore the supremacy of the tenants, precepts and principles contained in and established by the Ten Commandments.

3. To provide a global symbol and a national commemoration day that expresses our submission and commitment to the values in and the value of the Ten Commandments.

4. To create a mechanism for the Word of God to be restored in every aspect of society without violation of the legal system.

5. To give opportunity for identification with millions who adhere to the supreme law of God.

With your help the Ten Commandments Commission will be able to go on and take upon itself the task to enable people in many communities to come together in unity to declare and restore their commitment to God's holiness and righteous standard – this will be a good start.

Planned activities:

The annual Ten Commandments Day will be held annually on the first Sunday in the month of May. In 2010 the date of the event will be May 2nd . The Ten Commandments Day is a day dedicated for the display, awareness, commemoration and celebration of the Decalogue which we know to be the divine foundation of the Judeo-Christian faith.

Leading up to the main, national Ten Commandments Day celebrations, there will be regional Ten Commandments cultural and spiritual events. Among the planed events are musical talent shows and contests, choir competitions and concerts as well as other rallies and gatherings.

The Commission will endeavor to create multimedia campaign to expose the traumatic events that are the result of the removal of the Ten Commandments and all other references of God from the public square; the national moral decay, the rise of the enemy from within and the looming threat of radical Islam.

We will also establish and support a Ten Commandments Commission national and global network of prayer intercessors, along side with a network of volunteers to help achieve the commission's goals.

All of the above activities are designed to aid in the healing of wounds created by the actions against God's moral law. And, we feel strongly that this can be done through strategic and practical objectives and proactive love.

To achieve our goals, the commission will hold fundraising events through the use of TV telethons, sponsoring informational TV spots, direct solicitation, and by selling our exclusive Ten Commandment pins and other related merchandise. We believe that using the Ten Commandments pin along with a continued awareness campaign will help to bring about a united passion for the Ten Commandments and the moral values they represent. It is the goal of the commission to try and send at least one pin to every household in the nation.
